Early Psychosis Intervention Program (EPI) - Young Adults - Nanaimo
Mental Health - Adult, Mental Health - Child & Youth, and Services for Youth
Provided by Island Health
Basic EPI Services Include:
- Case manager
- Client education
- Medication management
- Family support and education
- Complete assessment of symptoms and physical functioning
- Treatment of problems in living and other mental health issues
Additional Comprehensive Services may be offered, including:
- Cognitive assessments and rehabilitation
- Vocational rehab programs
- Medication side effect monitoring, healthy living programs
- EIS focused rehab housing
- IPS / Competitive employment services
Accessing EPI is by referral through outpatient psychiatry, Intake Services, or NRGH Inpatient or Emergency Psychiatry Units. For support after hours, call the 24-hour Crisis Line at 1-888-494-3888 or the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
